#WellnessWednesday

Originally posted: September 16

For the very first #WellnessWednesday we will be discussing Demi Lovato and her #NoMakeupMonday trend. If you are a fellow instagram lover like myself, you would most likely know about Demi Lovato setting a new standard for girls and women. So, this is how it works, every Monday she posts a photo of herself "fresh-faced", she wants all her followers to do the same.
 Demi's #NoMakeupMonday Instagram

In starting this trend, she is setting a new trend for girls: you do not have to wear makeup to be considered "pretty" or "beautiful". Demi Lovato is setting such a positive image for girls in todays society. So many girls look up to celebrities and think, "Oh, I'll never be as pretty as her." or "Why can't I look like that?" Demi is reassuring those girls that wearing makeup in fact does not define beauty. She's arguing the fact that beauty is natural, and that you should feel amazing just being you. We don't have to pretend to be someone or something that we're not. Although this may not help all girls, it is definitely a step in the right direction for revising the morals and standards for beauty among everyone. So bravo to Demi Lovato, keep up the positivity in todays pop world!

Quote of the day: "No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things." - Demi Lovato

  2. 1. I wrote about this because I find it very inspirational how Demi sets herself apart from most celebrities and focuses on self confidence and empowerment for younger women. Younger girls need that little extra boost of confidence sometimes.
    2. I did not have a hard time writing about this post because I loved the message that Demi was trying to make. It all came very natural to me.
    3. I want the audience to feel confident in themselves, they do not need to change themselves to be "pretty" or "perfect". They just need to be themselves.

  3. I find myself truly rooting for Demi's plan here - to spread the idea of beauty into a variety of people's, outside the bounds of the beauty market. Also, the reasons behind why you produced this post have all bee met, so well done. You are spreading that inspirational voice and that is critical so well done.
